Riptide

As the arms of this ride begin to rotate the gondolas into the air, riders anticipate the relentless ride that they are about to receive. Although the riders only experience a somersault feeling on this ride, the intensity varies greatly due to direction of the arms and the lock position of the gondolas. For instance, riders can be locked into place and slowly dangled over the threatening water jets, or let free-roll backwards at an alarming rate. During warm weather riders get up close and personal with the water jets as they splash through rolls.
