Antique Carrousel

Throughout its long history, the Antique Carrousel has had several homes including: Happy Hastings in Vancouver BC, Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach ME and Palisades Amusement Park NJ. Taft Broadcasting purchased the carousel in the late seventies, and it was put into storage. When Canada's Wonderland opened, the carrousel made its new debut.
The Antique Carrousel has been maintained very well, and with the exception of the band organ remains entirely in perfect working order. The wood carving exhibited in this ride is exceptional and a classic example of the detail of the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. Since this company no longer creates these wonderful works of art, they have become even more of a treasure.
