It looks like there are still some pretty significant structural issues to work out, too; the track in these photos isn't physically bolted to to the supporting structure. I doubt they'll run a train around the circuit until they get that resolved.

Not an insurmountable one, or all that unusual - but it is something that would seem to reinforce the notion that the ride is weeks (months?) away from opening, not days.

It has nothing to do with the manufacturer; arc's build quality is way higher than what I was expecting for this project. Try and imagine the difficulty in placing concrete footers to the millimetre of the design. It's not a big deal, but what I'm getting at is it's the type of problem that usually shows up mid-winter (halfway during the build), when there's lots of time to make adjustments to the structure to get stuff to align and fit - not a week before opening.

Those bolt holes don't even look aligned. I have a feeling like something is wrong there because it doesn't make sense for them to be putting cars on the track without finishing bolting up another 8 holes. Or I could be fully wrong because I don't know a thing about manufacturing a roller coaster :P

But didn't you say a few days ago that we shouldn't accuse the construction crew of not using their time wisely? ;)

I said I thought it was foolish to accuse the construction crew of "not using their time wisely" when we have no idea what hurdles they're up against inside the mountain itself. And I still think that. Obviously they're under the gun to close the loop on this.

I am even more excited for this ride now seeing it in person. I am a huge dark ride nut and I think, at very least, we will have a very unique one on our hands.

Look forward to seeing all the CWMania and CWFansite members throughout the summer.
