this makes me very sad

i may be in the minority, but i didnt really think the ride was anything special, i mean sure it had a couple of quick hills, but MF to me seems to carry more speed through the turns at what not, its a pretty boring ride but at least its fast, leviathan just seemed really slow, i was hoping to hear that it is still workign in or what not.

But behemoth line was barely to the bottom of the stairs until like 11:30 or so i had to tkae a few laps on that, i can honestly say i enjoyed my 3 laps on behemoth more then my 3 laps on leviathan.

I asked the guy at fast pass, at 2 pm when i was leaving the park, he said he had sold 225 fast lane passes, i was trying to find out just how many were being sold on any given day, to help in future trip planning.

I heard a few people say that at the park today actually, though I am not surprised at all. To me, the two rides are very different. I for one find Behemoth boring, but that is because I am not really a fan of the camel-back after camel-back style ride. My favorite ride at the park has always been Vortex, because although it is short I absolutely love the speed of the ride. I personally enjoy Leviathan for the same sort of reason. Everybody has their different preferences.

i like superman at darien lake or whatever the ride is called now better then both of them, but cant justify the extra drive for one ride in the park that i really like, cuz the rest of the park to me is pretty bad

heres a pic i took at 11:15 or so today

^Wow! I wish we got there earlier. All queues were nice and full just after noon. I hadn't seen all queues for Behemoth used since a busy summer day last year. I assume once that massive Seasons Pass line up finally made it into the park, they picked both rides almost equally.

Took my first ride today. The first 3 hills are amazing but after that, I was a little underwhelmed. Maybe I hyped myself up too much. The tunnel is a nice touch but it was going so fast I honestly didn't even register it. I got placed somewhere in the middle so maybe I need to find the best place to sit before I figure out if I like it more or less than Behemoth.

After our ride, we went and took the backseat of Behemoth, which is just as awesome as I remembered it to be.

I rode Leviathan 4 times yesturday and wow it felt like a totally different coaster to which I rode on auction night.. This coaster is amazing, much better then Millenium Force, and yes I have been on both! It was flying through the course and literally did not slow down at all and airtime was everywhere! On the bunny hop and curve there is ejector air as well. If Leviathan doesn't win best new addition of 2012 I'll be shocked!

Don't mean to be Debbie Downer here but knowing how few people who get to CW who vote in the Mitch Hawker polls as well as how few people from Amusement Today get up here gives us a slim chance for Best New Ride. I'm not saying its impossible that we won't win, I just won't be suprised if we don't.

The only possible competition I think will be skyrush. It seems like its taking them forever to build that thing though, testing only started last week. Leviathan was open to the public before Skyrush made a complete circuit.

We'll see though. They have us by sheer numbers in the states but I'm optimistic that we atleast stand a good chance.

My husband and I were at CW yesterday for opening day with our friend (CedarFair) and yeah COMPLETELY different ride than what we experienced on Auction night... what a rush. It's like an entirely different ride with nice weather and with it running much faster (likely at normal speed). Managed to get a lap in on the very back and the very front, two totally different experiences. I remember we were waiting for the front yesterday and wondering why everyone was coming in lap after lap with tears in their eyes lol... I get it now, and it happened to us too. The front literally takes your breath away and you blast through the track like nobodies business. I highly suggest trying a lap on the very back and then a lap on the very front to see for yourself... it's pretty impressive. Not so much a fan of the tunnel having been on it without it but meh it's short enough and easy to get used to. Well done!! :D

maybe its because ive ridden a superbike at mostport at close to 300km per hour that speed just doesnt seem to do it for me on a coaster, i dunno

i think i just saw so many posts praising it, that i either had my expectations so high that it was impossible to live up to, or i purposely looked for flaws to try and knock it down.

On the bright side, ive had half a dozen friends ask how it was, and i said eh, so so, and they wont have those same high expectations, so maybe they will all think its * awesome because of lowered expectations.

I'm going to the park on Friday to take my first ride on Leviathan... looking forward to it. I'm going in with minimal expectations, so hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as Behemoth. Anyone else going on Friday? I think my gal pal's likely gonna bail on me, so it'd be nice to have a coaster buddy for at least some of the day. Here's hoping everyone's having a great week!

I dont know if i'm the only one, but was anyone else a tad bit disappointed? I mean, it's a good ride and the first drop is incredible, but after the first drop and the low speed hill, it's a bit boring. I'm glad that Leviathan was added to the park, and it will be a ride that i go on many times, but does anyone else agree that it was a bit too overhyped?

Was on the very first train to take people right after the auction winners went! Very cool thing to say I've done, and LOVED Leviathan! It's unbelieveable how fast it flies through that course! It almost feels short! :( lol. Great ride! :D

haha I was on that first train too!

My thoughts on the ride are detailled in my blog (link below), but needless to say I loved the ride start to finish.
