Some updates from the Leviathan area:

Flood lights have been added to the base of the hill lighting up one side of the large camel back hill.

A flood light has also been added to each of the vertical support columns for the large camel back hill (not yet working).

Protective netting has been added to the portions of track that go above the entrance plaza walkways.

I was previously unaware that they had painted the inside of the tunnel black - that should help a tad. Yes... you have me wondering what the pipes are for.. you seem to know something. Grrrrrrrr.....

There appeared to be some freshly laid out tubing or piping under Leviathan/Dragon Fire...

could be nothing. maybe I'm just not very observant and they have been all along (although it did look like freshly dug dirt...)

I am going to guess that that tubing under Leviathan/Dragon Fyre is going to be for the sprinkler system that Nuance84 predicted way back when the land clearing/construction for Leviathan began. I am hopeful that maybe one of those tubes will lead to the tubing inside the tunnel.

Does anyone know if there is a drainage system under the first Leviathan drop?

Yes there is. Just checked through some of my non-posted pictures and found a couple that show sewer grates under the lowest part of the first drop.

I'm pretty sure it was put in to prevent flooding of that area as it's below grade. It doesn't appear as though it was put in for theming.

Just wanted to put this out there for those of you that didn't attend Leviamania: When asked about the tunnel and if it was finished, park reps said that you can expect more for the tunnel.

Right at the end of the breakfast, Peter Switzer was asked the official height and he mentioned that the drop is (sadly) "Just over 300 feet".

Oh well... so much for that potential world record!

What a minute. That is a big deal. As the theory has always been Cedar Fair is not willing to admit that the drop is bigger than Millienum Force. According to the RCDB:

5th 300' Intimidator 305 / Millennium Force

The true record for a real coaster is 306' which is just 2% more than 300 feet. Will within the range of "just over". It is awfully strange they have never advertised the actual drop.
