^I got a vibe that park management doesn't really care if the drop actually is or isn't bigger than Millennium Force.

It wasn't the drop height it was the top of the track to the ground as you may know the ground in the drop area is more elevated that in the station area causing the "just over 300ft" remark. That means that the drop could still very well be 306ft or more

Or has been instructed by corporate not to care. It is somewhat strange the figure has not been posted every other statistic has been.

What will also be interesting is to see whether they allow us a new coaster without removing a coaster or at least until Cedar Point gets two new coaters.

I would very suprised if they would let Wonderland tie the record for most coasters and get ahead of Cedar Point as right now they are both tied for second.

Kindle was already embarrased that our attendance is higher than Cedar Point.

But hopefully new management won't be as loyal to trying to emphaize Cedar Point as the "flag ship".

Don't know how long this has been happening for, but today while I was leaving the station on one of Leviathan's trains, one of the ride ops said: "...and enjoy you 306 foot drop." Don't know if it is the actual drop height or not but it is still interesting that they are now advertising it as 306 ft.

I recall them saying everytime I've been on it... however, I never put much thought into it. Just thought was probably the operator just shooting off the stats from the website.

I think since it is a American Company they will continue to use Cedar Point as its "flag ship" park, with that being said I feel Cedar Fair understands the value Canada's Wonderland brings to their company and will continue to heavily invest in it. Cedar Point is the heart of the company with its market being the Midwestern states and possibly the southern tip of Ontario there focus is going to be at Cedar Point for a long time. I think it would be silly to think Canada's Wonderland could be Cedar Fairs "flag ship" park, for two reasons. First off a majority of Americans know little to nothing about Canada's Wonderland outside of the coaster community. Second reason is there will always be a closer park for them to attend that isn't in Canada. I am not saying Canada's Wonderland isn't recognized as a huge contributor but I don't see it being the end all be all park for the company.

my two cents. :D

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not or how long they have been there but I noticed that there are lights in the tunnel now......I counted three on the right hand side. Also of note...there are a couple of big signs on the fence at the bottom of the drop stating that the area is under video survellince and anyone caught throwing stuff at the ride will be prosecuted.

Minebuster also has lights in the tunnel that are sometimes on. They don't really light up the tunnel anyway.

Soooo...
Sounds like this is going to be a work in progress into next season?

Is there a lighting going on the hill? or are those lights pretty much it?

From what I've heard, the "service lights" will be it for a lighting package for the lift hill. I can't wait to SEE if the park has any other surprises when it comes to theming ;)

Its a real shame what happened at the Golden Ticket awards today. Should be called the "SOLDen ticket awards". The Leviathan statue would have looked so nice with the "Best New Ride 2012" sign. I'm pretty sure park management would have hung that right around its neck.

Leviathan was absolutely robbed and Wonderland was robbed.

I really hope next week when ACE is there, Norm and Peter can come up with something to keep Leviathan down in the morning. A little Karma-Maintenance would be sweet. One better would be if Peter gave Someone the ACE plaque thats on Skyrider. Here take this please, we really don't need it anymore.......(Sorry, that might be a bit harsh, but on the other hand Wonderland really was jobbed!)

Leviathan never had a chance at golden tickets. With Wonderland being in Canada, it will most likely never win a golden ticket.

Sorry, I hate to complain but I must agree, Wonderland and Leviathan was robbed but even more skyrush was robbed even more by completely not making the top list at all.. Wildeagle did not deserve best new ride at all Verbolten, Skyrush & Leviathan deserved top spots.
