I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. This years Coasting for Kids event at all the Cedar Fair parks will be on Sunday June 9th, 2013. I will let you know when more details become available.

There is a $25.00 registration fee and you must raise a minimum of $75.00 to participate in the event. Event details are still being finalized but should be available soon.

If I have to work that day at 5pm, would I be missing out on any activities if I left the park around 3pm? or is the event pretty much over by that point?? thanks

Usually there's breakfast at 10am, lunch around 12 or 1, then just riding after that if I remember right. So you probably wouldn't miss too much leaving at 3.

Registration time and location: 8:15 a.m. at the Front Gate Exterior Kiosk

Complimentary parking available to participants from 8 - 8:45 a.m. Please print a copy of your fundraising page to show parking booth attendant.

Event time: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Marathon will take place on:
Vortex: 9 – 10 a.m.
Behemoth: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Meal time and location:
Breakfast at 10 a.m. at Marketplace International Buffet
Lunch from 1:30 – 3 p.m. at Marketplace International Buffet

Awards ceremony time and location: 2 p.m. at Marketplace International Buffet

Regular park operating hours: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

with the extra hour now until 6 pm, im not sure if its possible, got 67 laps last year, didnt start till almost 11, and left for an hour or so at lunch time, any takers ?

Also, since my sons not going to be tall enough ( i dont think anyhow) im going to bring him and my wife to just hang out at the park and do other things, will they be able to come into the park with us early ? We all have passes.

Wow, I'm surprised it filled up! Unfortunately I'm not able to attend this year. May be in Texas riding the two Rocky Mountain update coasters down there
