Re: A Retro Wonderland

During August of this year, I had added to my ever growing Retro Wonderland Souvenir collection. Below are a few pieces which I had collected this summer. 8) Canada's Wonderland Souvenir Hat- Children's Size (1981): 20604639_693473110838662_5909668063362686378_n.jpg Photo credit: Johnlloyd Canada's ...

Re: A Retro Wonderland

Since it is officially the off-season, I thought I would post some retro Wonderland related stuff to keep us entertained during the off-season. Below are a few videos which were uploaded recently to the Retrontario YouTube channel. They are 30 second clips which were produced before the park had ope...

Re: Future Enjoyment sign spotted

If you guys remember correctly, Splash Works' Splash Island is receiving an expansion for 2018 so that could possibly be the reason as to why the path along Splash Works is closed. Also while I was at the park last Saturday, I noticed that the ice cream truck located near Mighty Canadian Minebuster ...

Re: What days are the least busy during the year

For the past few years, the park has been open on weekdays during the months of May and June with reduced hours. I've gone during these times over the past few years and had a great time as the park wasn't busy, meaning most rides were walk-on's or had very minimal waits, even on nice sunny days. Th...

Re: New Parking Garage for 2018?

The markings do look like ones for a parking garage, but they could also be for something else, possibly a new toll booth similar to that at Kings Island given the location of the markings. But, we will just have to wait and see. 8)

Re: How many flips have you achieved on Skyhawk?

While at Canada's Wonderland yesterday I had managed to flip 44 times, beating my previous personal record of 34 flips on Skyhawk. That was quite the experience doing 10 more flips than my record! 8)

Re: Halloween Haunt 2017

Correct me if I'm wrong but why haven't we got a proper graveyard for deceased rides It would be a neat and somewhat sad feature as other parks do it. Maybe you should consider suggesting it to the park! 8) How? I don't think wonderland knows me can't we get kunpc1 to do it? You just send in an ema...

Re: New For 2017 (excluding Soaring Timbers and Muskoka Plunge)

When I visited Canada's Wonderland for my fifth visit of the season on Thursday, I noticed that a queue line was added to Coasters Diner since my previous visit in late May. The problem with this queue line is that it only has one exit, which makes it awkward for people wanting to access the tables ...

Re: Up-Charge Attractions Deals

I thought I would mention that this year, season pass holders can receive a $5 discount for Slingshot when they present their season pass. A discount of $5 isn't much, but it makes it slightly more affordable compared to the full $25 visitors had to pay in previous seasons since the opening of Sling...

Re: Muskoka Plunge and Soaring Timbers

I made my fifth visit of the season to the park on Thursday (June 22nd) and managed to capture my fourth ride on Soaring Timbers since it opened as it was closed for quite awhile. The cycle I had experienced while on Soaring Timbers was quite boring and less intense than what I had experienced in mi...

Re: La Ronde - Montreal, QC

Just as the 2017 season begins at La Ronde, a couple of rides have since been closed and slated for removal. One of the two rides that have been closed that is to be removed is the Cobra (Intamin Stand-up Coaster) which opened at the park in 1995 after being relocated from Skara Sommarland as Stand-...
